Beautiful summer colours!

Hello and welcome to the weekend my friend.

The only thing I’ve been loving about summer lately is the colours! I feel like everything around me has a classic, dreamy color palette. Case in point – yesterday, El Hub was working from home, so Fam Bam went to my favorite bakery for lunch. We sat outside next to this beautiful group of flowers. Well, now that I think about it, it might be bushes, but I don’t know. Anyway, the combination of green, yellow, and orange against blue skies and beige umbrellas made my heart sing.

The flowers for some reason remind me of clothing designer Ulla Johnson, whom I read about recently in “Vogue.” Creates luxurious apparel with pretty prints and soft, feminine silhouettes. If I didn’t have any worries about food spilling all over my shirt, I’d wear her stuff 24/7!

Speaking of food, I made these corn and bacon noodles the other day, and they’re easy, delicious, and so summery.

If you’re not a fan of bacon, I think you can easily convert it into a vegan dish by skipping it and substituting it with cherry tomatoes. Or, just use your favorite bacon substitute. It was quick and easy, and if you pair it with summer fruit for dessert, you’ll have a delicious meal in no time.

I’ll go get another cup of coffee and then I’ll go for a walk! I recently took up walking, and for the past week I’ve hit 10,000 (or more) steps every single day! I have to say, I’m really proud of myself for continuing it.
