Summer Beauty Buddies: Gehwol Biosana Swiss Foot File

Your feet will thank you!

“BRB, I need to grate my feet cheese.”

Yes, I used a cheese grater as a verb.

Dang, those calluses are in disguise! I can’t say exactly when it appeared to me, but halfway through the summer, I noticed that my usual smooth, soft fingers suddenly turned into whole clumps of Parmesan.

This is the price one pays when you walk around the pool barefoot. sigh!

Anyway, I’ve had the $26 Gehwol Biosana Swiss Foot Files from Nordstrom for years, and they’re the best thing I’ve found for exfoliating all the calluses on my feet.

I know what you might be thinking. $26? for a foot file?

Girl, listen up. If you’re going to knock cheese off your feet, this is way better than all the other discount versions you’ll find elsewhere. Lots of disgusting stuff coming fast! It’s strangely exciting.

One key is multi-directional. You can go up, down, left, right, really all the way you can think of. Using this file so that all nooks and crannies are easily accessible.

I like to soak for about 10 minutes, then start with the rough side of the file to remove the bulk of the thick skin. Then I do some “fine tuning” to the side with a finer grain.

FYI, I’ve read a lot about how much one should remove a callus during the process, and most sources say you probably shouldn’t remove it completely. Leave a little for the pillow, so to speak.

Your fingers will turn, I tell you!
