New Explosions | Trader Joe’s Lemon Cake | BareMinerals Mineral Warming Palette

I promise these new bangs are not a cry for help! Just need to change.

I went with the longer length because I didn’t want the commitment of having to create a bunch of short bangs; If you’ve been through this, you know the struggle is very real, LOL!

Oh, I also hope that pushing the bangs forward helps tame the wild boki strands at my hairline. They are refusing to do my bidding, and I am determined to stop this madness.

(We’ll see if that actually works, ha).

Oh! I learned something new from the stylist who cut my hair. For bangs, she suggested applying a flexible styling cream before blowing it out. This way, you get enough hold for your hair to still be pushed forward while still having some hold. No crispy bangs, please! Let’s leave that behind for the ’80s.

So it won’t last next to bangs?

Well, by the end of this keyboard, I had been typing non-stop for what seemed like weeks. I got lost in the fog of deadlines, and now they’re starting to lift, but I wouldn’t know it! Since the universe received great jokes, I have an unexpected project to push through by next Tuesday. A lot going on here, but I am so grateful for the opportunity to work.

Completely unrelated Have you heard about Trader Joe’s new Mini Lemon Sheet Cake? Word on the street (aka the group of online moms I frequent) is that it’s the cutest thing ever to grace TJ’s candy shelves. It’s a lemon cake topped with lemon cream cheese frosting and lemon zest. Yes, it’s very lemony.

I love lemon cake and think it tastes good, but I probably wouldn’t be driving to TJs at night in my pajamas. I am really picky about frosting and this is a very sweet smidge. If you weren’t, girl…it would be! Try it if you see it on the shelf and let me know what you think.

Also in the realm of new things is this palette of warm, neutral eyeshadows from bareMinerals.

Do you wear this? I tried it today and was impressed with the softness of all the powders except for the beige shade – it felt rock hard!

Anyway, let me know what you’re up to. I hope that you are well.

Friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen
