Monday’s Makeup and Beauty Blog Poll, Vol. 779

So… what is Monday’s poll?

Excellent question! It is not, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like the little buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions that I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).

1. One piece of makeup that instantly makes you feel comfortable when you put it on?

There are a lot of makeup tools that pick me up right away, but mascara is currently doing a lot of lifting for me. Just curling my lashes and coating them in a layer or two puts a huge spring in my step!

2. What’s more fun: a picnic day or a spa day?

Both are a lot of fun for me, but meow it’s true, I’m going to take a spa day because my allergies are fading.

3. Jacket or jacket?

I’ll take a cardigan if it’s a little oversized and soft!

4. Who is the best cook in your family?

Well, my immediate family isn’t known for their culinary prowess, LOL! Before her death, my mother was the best cook. I keep dreaming about oxtail soup with peanut butter! Now the best cook is probably my brother.

5. What is your favorite/least favorite makeup brand?

It changes all the time, but my favorite brand at the moment is Chanel, with Laura Mercier coming in at number two. My least favorite, hmmm… I can generally find at least one thing I like from each brand, but I’m having a hard time figuring out that answer. Maybe any of the brands make lipsticks in the form of private dude parts? There was one line that did this recently, and my first thought was, “Who ordered this?”

6. What is your favorite/least favorite ice cream flavor?

My favorite is the pistachio and almond ice cream from Baskin Robbins. My least favorite is any kind of orange sherbet.

7. Who takes care of your nails?

I do my nails myself because I’m pretty picky about how I paint them. If I were a celebrity, I would hire a top-notch manicurist in a heartbeat!

8. What do you think of modern perfumes?

Ya know, I don’t mind smelling trendy scents on other people, but I probably wouldn’t go out and actively research what’s popular at the moment myself.

I hope the rest of Monday will be calm and positive. Maybe treat yourself to something sweet today? I’ll go get a latte in a minute.
