Inside Out Ideas: Makeup Pencils, Mantras and the Nostalgic Feeling of Nordstrom Close SF (among other things)

• The mac whirl lip liner is really great, especially when you use it to line and fill in your lips and then apply a lip oil or lip treatment on top.
• I swear, if this family wasn’t making me track down and buy toilet paper, no one would ever have anything to wipe their ass with.
• I probably won’t buy Sephora Collection’s Shimmer Eyeliner again (it makes my waterlines itch). Matte is fine, however, and affordable.
• I wish Hung Vanngo would come over and do this makeup on me, like, every single day.
• It’s easier to think of things for lists when you’re doing something mindless and your mind can wander, as if you’re walking around aimlessly.

• You know you’re an adult when all you do all day is try to get enough protein at every meal. It’s stressful. Getting enough protein sounds like another job!



• Why don’t we all eat big bowls of pho (Vietnamese soup) for lunch every day? I prefer to do it over eating salad.



• When I write banana notes for Connor’s lunch, I pretend I’m writing a note to the 30-year-old version of her.





• Sometimes I see old photos of me and my love interest and think, “Dam. We had too much collagen.” very funny!
• I got tired of sneezing, coughing and sniffing. I personally feel attacked by nature during springtime.









• I’ve never met a potato that I didn’t like, but I haven’t yet found a potato salad recipe. Need to get that ASAP.
• I’m kind of upset about SF Nordstrom closing, although upsetting, I think the last time I was there was in the fall of 2015, when I was pregnant with Connor. I still remember going there for my first official bra, hanging out at MAC and Bobbi Brown counters, meeting François Nars there, eating at the coffee shop with my friends… good times.
• Why do I have to keep learning the same lessons over and over again? Lessons learned this week: 1) I really love writing lists. 2) It is very helpful to do research the day before writing the first draft; And 3) planning your next work day really helps a lot.
