happy Friday! Sunscreen, Essie Glitters, CVS Coupon Skinny and $5 Bike Shorts from Old Navy

Hey girl, first Happy Friday. It’s a hot one here in Northern California, which is why 1) I spent the morning looking for shorts (hello, $5 bike jersey shorts from Old Navy), and 2) I went to CVS to buy sunscreen. While there, i had the most enlightening conversation about sun protection with another sun protection enthusiast! I must love those random beauty conversations with strangers.

Anyway, I immediately noticed how I was carrying three bottles of sunscreen (more on this in a second), and noticed she had a wide-brimmed hat and oversized sunglasses!

We talked about our favorite sunscreens and how we both loved trying them all. I convinced her to try a bottle of Black Girl Sunscreen Kids (SO GOOD), and she gave me the skinny using CVS coupons.

Oh my God, I had no idea CVS coupons were so good! There was a buy one Banana Boat get 50% off, and I got an extra $2 coupon on top of that. I ended up getting a $12 bottle of sunscreen for $7!

You also ended up getting a 30% off coupon on your next purchase! I’m going to save it for a more expensive bottle of La Roche Posay Melt In Sunscreen Milk, which is what the lady I was talking to eventually bought using her coupon.

Anyway, side note, all this talk of saving money means I’m officially turning into a mom. very funny!

While I was there, I also got a few Essie stuff: a clear Gel Couture top coat, two glosses (Birthday Girl and Feel the Fizzle) and a pale pink Gel Couture shade called Fairy Tailor.

It was an exciting morning! I can’t wait to see what the rest of the day (and weekend) has in store for me.
